Joanie is responsible for preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process. She orientates new employees and trains existing employees all while ensuring they are organized and satisfied in their work environment.

Cindy Chavez

Programs, Outreach, Education Manager | programs@stepstohope.org

Cindy manages, coordinates, and oversees client services, programs, outreach and education for Steps to Hope. She helps build community relationships with area resource teams and external parties while supporting growth, education, and program development.

Elexis Bates

Elexis serves as a client advocate and assists Cindy with all aspects of Client Services. She also spends time as shelter staff.

Sherry Johnson

Director of Retail Operations

Sherry oversees the thrift store locations and retail activities to ensure they support the mission and financial goals of the organization.  Sherry reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Darby Mitchell & Rodney Lattimore

Thrift Barn Managers

As retail store managers, Darby and Rodney are responsible for the daily operations of the thrift stores, helping to ensure a positive shopping experience while at our stores.

Elizabeth Coltza

Thrift Store Assistant Manager

Elizabeth supports the daily operation of the Thrift Store.  She works in tandem with the store manager in promoting a welcoming, inclusive environment for shoppers, donors, staff and volunteers.
