Foster a Pet

Experts have long known of a correlation between animal abuse and domestic violence.

In fact, the American Humane Association says that the vast majority of pet-owning victims who enter domestic violence shelters report that their pets have been hurt, threatened or killed.

When victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault are putting an end to an abusive relationship, we at Steps to HOPE are here with a number of resources ready to help them and their children. But what about their pet(s)? No one should have to choose between safety and family.

Help people and pets escape abuse together. Become a pet foster!
