CLIFFS OF GLASSY AWARDS STEPS TO HOPE

The Cliffs at Glassy residents recently came together through the Cliffs Residents Outreach (CRO) and granted $5000 for Steps to HOPE’s summer program, Building Tomorrow’s Future. This children’s program is a three-week camp for local, at-risk, and underserved children ages 8-12 who may be experiencing economic insecurity, family hardship, trauma, parental incarceration, domestic violence, and other ACEs (adverse childhood experiences).

Building Tomorrow’s Future is a safe and nurturing environment where, through sports, recreation, swimming, art, dancing, hiking, team building activities and more, children can develop resiliency characteristics such as social skills, leadership development, and self-esteem. The program also builds bridges of trust with campers in hopes they will lead to year-round mentoring relationships.

The CRO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping local children succeed through donations to local schools and organizations like Steps to HOPE. By providing funds to programs like Building Tomorrow’s Future, the CRO is making a difference in the lives of local children and helping to break the cycle of generational trauma.

To register a child, or volunteer at the camp (Background Check required) or for more information on Building Tomorrow’s Future, please call 828-894-2340.
