STEPS TO HOPE ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT!

On November 3rd, Steps to HOPE held its 20th Annual Golf Tournament, The Hope Golf Classic, at Links O’Tryon. The weather cooperated as nearly 120 golfers turned out to play in this very successful charity tournament.

Excitement reached a new level this year with special 20th Anniversary additions, individual contest winners, team winners, and door prizes for every golfer!  While no one was lucky enough to win the Putting Contest or score a Hole-in-One this year, a few skilled golfers came very close!

Congratulations to Carl Straw, Justin Kennedy, Dylan Lancaster, & Jordan O’Rouke who were the overall Low Net Winners of the Steps to HOPE Tournament this year. 2nd Place Low Net Winners were Pete Gutowski, Chip Vogel, Craig Hardee, & Ally Stanley, Low Gross Winners were Chip Boyle, Bob Hobart, Fred Guterman, & Bob Rice, and Women’s Team Winners were Rubi Jorgensen, Karen Starbuck, Cindy Esch, & Diane Roemer. Golfers who won Closest-to-the-Pin challenge were Cleve Nichols, Karen Starbuck, & Chris Pare.

Steps to HOPE, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center, is greatly appreciative of the overwhelming support shown by golfers, individuals and area businesses who not only offered financial support but made countless donations in the form of snacks and drinks, gifts for door prizes and golfers’ “goodie bags”, breakfast biscuits – and, of course, time – to help ensure the success of this annual charity event.
